The client

The Southdown Whiteway Project is a community support project which is sponsored by the Methodist churches in Bath. When designing the site, the secretary was concerned that it retained a simple design in order to reflect the aims of the organisation. Furthermore, as a non-technical user, the secretary also stipulated that the site must include a facility for allowing him to update the webpage's "News" and "Next Community Service" sections through a simple online interface.

The site

Working from the brief, I created a simple and design that is heavily focused on content. I have used PHP and MYSQL to create a custom CMS system (click for screen shot) that the secretary now uses to update the "News" and "Next Community Service" areas of the site. The website is now used by the local community and members of the Bath Methodist church circuit to keep informed about the latest events at Southdown Community Church.
